Out for a stroll in the fields around Oadby with his friends Mr and Mrs Horace Croft, PFC Max Fine of the 782nd Airborne Ordnance Company pauses to be photographed with their dogs. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Fine survived the war and kept in touch with wartime friends from Oadby well into the 1990s.
