782nd Airborne Ordnance Company, Kibworth range 1944
The photograph, probably taken by PFC Max Fine, shows "chow time" for members of the Oadby-based 782nd Airborne Ordnance Company at a "rifle range in England past Kibworth" in August 1944. The unit, a part of the 82nd Airborne Division, had not long returned from Normandy and within a few weeks would be leaving the area for good to take part in the airborne assault on Holland.
